Shrewsbury Chronicle Thursday 20th September 2001: Professor Logs on to Training Needs "A PATIENT professor is helping people as old as 86 to get their feet on the technology ladder with his new computer training business, teaching people in their own homes.

Professor Bob Scott, has over 30 years experience in information systems, and is now helping complete novices as well as those wishing to improve skills in a particular application.

Eighty six year old Freddie Brown from Church Stretton, who is a keen amateur photographer, said he had tried eight or nine experts to try to get to grips with his hi-tech equipment, before he met Professor Scott.

The late Freddie Brown from Church Stretton said: “He started at ground level and taught me the fundamentals, which was what I needed. . .  so I would recommend him to anyone. I am now producing award winning images on my computer . . .
